General Contractor:
Leon D. DeMatteis Construction Corp. (LDDCC), the construction affiliate of The DeMatteis Organization, is responsible for constructing all DeMatteis sponsored projects. Working closely with our subcontractors to ensure milestones are met, our construction arm can deliver time and time again for the owner. “Building Green” has become a prominent aspect of the construction industry, and DeMatteis has been able to showcase its creative problem-solving capabilities in working with cutting-edge and first-of-its-kind sustainable technologies.

Construction Management:
With its owner/developer’s eye for detail, DeMatteis provides an invaluable ingredient to successful development by preparing precise budget estimates and reliable project schedules to preserve the reliability of the largest component of a development budget – “the cost of construction.” By also having many LEED certified personnel, we are able to maintain the strict requirements that follow specific programs to achieve the target rating of a green project.
Design Build:
With a heavy shift in project delivery methodology, DeMatteis has partnered with the Design-Build Institute of America and has embraced the guiding principles to successful design-build delivery. Many DeMatteis employees have been certified by the DBIA and implement its Best Practices at every opportunity. Having in-house registered architects and engineers allows the DeMatteis team to have a significant role in the pre-construction aspect of a development project. Designing and building a structure with the highest and best use in mind, we are able to find the maximum amount of buildable feet for a structure to be successful. Equally as important, DeMatteis has maintained successful professional relationships with many design and engineering firms over the years and looks for opportunities to team up and pursue new design-build projects.
Developer:
The DeMatteis Organization has established itself as a regional leader in middle income and luxury housing, as well as office properties. As owner and developer, DeMatteis has had their finger on the ever-changing skyline of the city. Whether it was numerous successful Mitchell-Lama housing towers to a more recently unique NYCECF “combined occupancy” project that consisted of a luxury residential tower and a middle school on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. DeMatteis has also taken its development expertise out of state and worked successfully with regionally based developers in Virginia, Georgia, and Florida.
Property Management:
An affiliate of The DeMatteis Organization, R/Y Management Co., Inc. is one of the premier management companies in the New York metropolitan area. As a privately held, full service property management company, R/Y manages over 10,000 townhouses, rental apartments, cooperatives and condominiums, including numerous affordable residential units for DeMatteis Affiliates and third party owners.
Another wholly owned affiliate, DM Airport, LTD. (DMAL) has operated the Morristown Municipal Airport for over thirty years. Under a unique ninety nine year lease/operating agreement, DMAL is responsible for all facets of the Airport’s operation, management, and development.
